Commotion on the house floor following heated debate regarding the Christian Persecution Resolution. A special welcome extended to the Five clergymen/women who filled our gallery representing a multitude of faiths.
The Christian Persecution bill sends the wrong message from our chamber body that one religions persecution carries a heavier weight then all the religions facing persecution. Many of my colleagues, from both sides of aisle, debated against this bill. Highlighting that we as a body should never elevate one religion over another and we should be equal in representing all our religions in all our communities. Thrilled to see this bill fail.
